Red River Valley Banjo Tab

There are two pieces of sheet music for the banjo / mandolin tuned GDAE . Both pieces of music are in the key of G but the vary a lot. I have heard this song sang many times but never heard it sang by different people to the same tune, regardless of who is singing it the usually alter the tune in some way or other, it's as if the original tune got lost and they were making it up as them went along. The second piece of music is as close as I could get to making it sound as original as possible.
