This is a ''Traditional'' folk song, and nobody knows who wrote it. It was brought to life by the English rock group The Animals way back in the 60's. The version of the 4 string tenor banjo sheet music notes here are in C Major. There's an odd G # Sharp note that's generally not seen in folk songs. Regardless of what key I tried to put this song in there was always a bogie note somewhere. The letter note version is suited to the recorder or flute.

All the notes in CAPITAL letters are the low notes up as far as the B note, all the notes in small letters past the B are the higher notes.
